Ok, Ok... I really gotta start getting back on my blogger zone. I only made like 2 and than tired myself out. i think because i usually aim my blogs to be like a article or something but I'm going 2 try to make big momma blogs and lil baby blogs too, and maybe a fat retarded cousin bogs too. lol anyway, this is for all the people that obviously reads my blogs cus they tell me about them, but dont comment them or follow. Im not going too do one now, because its like 5:00 in the morning but i will do a lil summin either 2morrow or friday after the photoshoot since ill probably have summin 2 talk about than so watch, Fuck T.V. lol

Your Not Hip Hop
YAY!!! I'm Back!!!! lol its kinda been a while since my first two blogs but hey, i got school and shit. lol. Anywho its 1:51 A.m. and I really want to blog today but I have no clue what to talk about. then after about half an hour checking my emails, myspace, facebook, twitter and other websites that I have accounts on, I went to youtube and started watching all the new videos of channels I'm subscribed to. Now somehow during my video searching I came across a video titled "soulja boy says Nas killed hip hop" and I was like "KI SA!?!?!?!?!" (thats kreyole for "WHAT!?!?!?!?!"), and this is what brings me to dis topic.
Now Soulja Boy, or Soulja Boy Tell Em should I say, is a very popular rap artist who even had your Pastor "supa soak dat H#*@" with hits such as "Crank Dat Soulja Boy", "She Got a Donk" and My Favorite "YAAA Trick YAAA". His first album "souljaboytellem.com" sold over a million records and over 5 million singles and ring tones, He even was nominated for a grammy. however his second album lacked such success, being debuted at 43 in the billboards top 100. out of frustrating of no1 wanting to "Crank DAT" like they used to, soulja boy stated on a video of him talking with friends that "Fa real dawg... the nigga that killed hip hop was Nas dawg... he said hip hop is dead and after that everyone is like 'hip hop is dead, hip hop is dead'" he continued on to say "If Nas had never said that hip hop was dead, ain't nobody ever thought it had died" he later cleared up his comments in an interview with DJ Skee saying what he meant was that he wasn't selling neither is a lot of rappers other than Kanye and Lil' Wayne and if Nas hadn't stated hip hop is dead than more people might have been selling.
Now what really boils my eggs is not the fact that he basically blames Nas for people not wanting to buy his album, or that he actually said the words "Nas Killed Hip Hop" without saying "lol" or "jk" or even like that little smiley that sticks its tongue out that lets you say something really dramatic and mean and offencive but in "I'm just Joshing ya. I love yam, buddy" kinda way. No, What really upset me is that Soulja Boy is claiming to be a representative of hip hop.
Okay, lets get this one thing clear: HIP HOP IS NOT, I REPEAT, IS NOT A MUSIC GENRE!!! hip hop music could be genre'd as Jazz, soul, R&B, funk, rock, etc.. What makes hip hop music is the more in the culture and the content. The culture is based in an atmosphere surrounded by a state of impoverishment and/or negativity however rather than to conform to it something that sort of self destructive state of mind you break away from the influence and use what surroundings and upbringings to express yourself, to teach, to entertain and mostly to tell a story; whether that is through rapping, cutting the records, dancing or even graffiti writing. To be a hip hop rapper or M.C. you have to be original, genuine, raps for the love of the music and to express themselves with actual lyrical content and not just as a hustle to make a hit song and make money.
With that, I chopped off a lot of the hit rap records out and than think "I'm confused Mikey, wouldn't that mean that hip hop is dead." Well what if I said that they are many hip hop artist out, but not all there music is hip hop music. Look, the music industry... is an industry. That means its a business which means sometimes you might have to go commercial. For example RunDMC is hip hop correct? However, the Christmas son they wrote was NOT, dope song but not really hip hop. Nas Is Hip hop Right? Ochie Wally was NOT Hip hop, it was just a club joint, but yet again it was a hot song. Its like how Kanye West is a rapper (and hip hop artist in my opinion) but "heartless" is not a rap song, or how Garth brooks did that weird Chris Gains thing.
So there you have it, Hip Hop is not dead, Its confused. Hip hop is not a part of rap, Rap is a part of hip hop. And a lot of rap music and rappers aren't hip hop. Not to hate on Soulja Boy, because he is a young black fella making money and I respect and applaud him for doing what his doing. And I'm not going to lie, I stay jamming when the play "put my swag on" in the club; and when they play "she got a dunk"... awww suky suky now, lol. But you gotta know your place dude, be honest with yourself, you are not hip hop. You dont know what it means to be hip hop and you don't have what it takes to be, and that's not just for you, that's for all the mims and the plies and the M.C. Hammers too (Yeah, I said it, M.C. Hammer was NOT hip hop and I will DIE with that engraved in my tombstone. Why would M.C. hammer be hip hop and vanilla ice not? there the same person, just different skin tone!!!). So Ice-T, Your wrong, and not just for putting "Ice-T" in all the credits in the movie in t.v. roles you play like you dont got a real name and you mama dont call you Tracey (even "The Rock" use Dwayne Johnson now!!!), But your wrong for saying Soulja Boy killed hip hop, because he never was even close to touching it. Saying Soulja is Hip hop is like saying The Jonas Brothers are rock. If hip hop was a club, I would let Arron Carter in before Soulja Boy... But that's just my opinion...

Pirates of the Somalians
Okay, I know I'm not a political journalist and neither am I trying to be. Actually I only decided to write this blog after not yet seeing CNN or MSNBC or any other news station report the other side of this situation. So I'm just going to put my input on this topic and maybe share some information that you might not have known about the case of Pirates from Somalia.
This is a big topic on the news for these past couple of months. Apparently they have been a couple of renegade Somali natives that have committed acts of plundering and kidnapping upon boats that pass there way. Many might see this a deviance, but few know about the truth behind Piracy outrage and how it started... Shall we examine?
It all starts with the fall of the Somali government after several opposing renegade groups fight for control of the country back in 1991. The aftermath resulted in a decade brief civil wars and on and off battles between local organizations in search of power and riches. Unfortunately due to the constant fighting and lack of government this left the people in Somali in disheveled state lacking crops and turning into an economic decline.
Outside of this comes an increase in nuclear energy in the world that supports many of the technology that we use on the daily. Now where there is nuclear energy which is conducted by nuclear plants, intern there becomes nuclear waste... which we all know is really bad by now after watching captain planet every Saturday mourning. For this, there are many Legitimate waste disposal companies that are paid to take care of this.
NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING!!!!
At this time Somalia is broken down as a country lacking any government or any type of policing. So rather than these waste removal companies properly depose of these waste, they instead find its easier to simply dump them into the shores of Somalia because hey, what are they going to do. In addition many fishing companies decide to illegally fish the the Somali waters. So basically the seas of Somali is treated like a fully furnish house in the hood with out a working lock. people are just taking what they want when they want and leaving their trash behind as they leave. So obviously someone has to do something... ergo your pirates
Actually they started as just armed citizens and fishermen patrolling the seas capturing outsiders from violating there waters. They are actually seen as to the people of Somalia as volunteer coastguards. since they can't imprison there captives because well... there is no prison and they're not government officials, They hold them for until there employers compensate them for violating they're waters and use that as a warning for they're future attempts. So basically what is seemed as "kidnapping" is really arresting, but since they have no significant legitimate government power it is merely seen as an act of savagery.
And when you think about it, how many people have you heard that have been murdered or even injured by these pirate? OH Don't worry, ill wait for you to think about it or look it up or something... oh you give up? Couldn't find any. That's because they have never physically assaulted any or there captives nor do they wish to. In actuality, it is said that there is a code so strict and disciplined that is one was to even verbally abuse a single hostage then there will be a percentage cut out of his piece if the ransom money.
Now compare this to those pirates of the Caribbean and black beard and all these real pirates of the paste who raped and killed thousands of people and are looked up to as idols in your local amusement parks. shit Christopher Columbus and his men killed and raped thousand of people, stole their goods and even their lands for themselves and yet this mother fucker has his own day. JFK and Lincoln don't even have their own real national holiday... wtf? lol
Granted some pirates went further into it and began to kidnap hostages unrelated to the initial campaign simply for the search of wealth, however They're are still people illegally fishing and dumping waste and nobody else is going to do anything about it. In the end, this is a case that could of been avoided maybe 4-5 years ago when the Somali people initially presented the U.N. with the complaint of foreign companies illegally dumping their waste into there waters or better yet even 9-10 years ago when the national government was having problems maintaining control. But hey I guess when a nigger fights back he's always wrong, even when he could be right... Makes you think huh?

WWW.DONTSHAKEBABY.COM = WTF AMERICA????
OK, so I'm watching Ron White, one of the Blue Collar Comedy dudes, on comedy central 'cause... idk, there was nothing else to do, anyway he makes a joke about a site called www.dontshakebaby.com. not i have a habit of when I here about a website, especially when its not a commercial of anything, just a regular website, and it has a weird, unusual, funny, or stupid name, I have to check it out because amusement susceptibility of an 8 year old. So There I was checking out the site, thinking Its gonna be some fake cause with like stupid redneck jokes or w/e and to my surprise and disbelief, I find out that this is a real fucking cause...

So, basically this means that there is some sick, twisted and, frankly, retarded epidemic going on which heavily pollutes, but is not exclusively residing in, the sate of Colorado to the extent that not one, not two, but three widely known professional establishments are funding what i can imagine to be an immense amount of money that could rather be put into cancer research or research to other serious terminal diseases simply because people or irresponsible as not only an adult guardian but a human being. Don't get me wrong, I know that this is very serious and i have nothing against the campaign I'm just in awe that this campaign is needed, that people need a site called dontshakebaby.com to know that they shouldn't shake a baby. WTF AMERICA!!!! I've said it before and I'll say it again, Stupid people do not to be reproducing. Actually I'm thinking I should start a new campaign and website... "dontgivebabytostupid.com" in this site there will be a petition that doesn't allow the hospital and/or American government from handing over custody over to anyone who cannot pass a certain level in both an I.Q. or psychological exam. oh and also if you shake baby you get sentence to death by the "new chair" of witch shakes you until you head snaps off you neck. Yea, that's how my America looks like.

Finally on it
Yea yea yea, I know i said i wouldn't do it but i did, GRRR. I've gave in to the power of blogspot and now I'm tippy typing away. For those of you that don't know me, I'm know as Mikey RoXxtar of the Funky Fresh Crew, Repping Brooklyn New York. Basically if you live in NYC there is a high probability that you have seen me or my Friend around sporting the high top fade, maybe rocking a rope chain and carrying a boombox. NO I AM NOT A RETRO KID, I DON'T KNOW THEM DUDES AND I AM NOT TRYING TO KNOW THEM JOIN THEM OR BE THEM (No disrespect intended, its just that we are a whole different monster than they are and we are trying to separate ourselves from the other hundreds of retro crews out there. but this is not what my blogs about. I'm very unique individual with a, lets say "layered". If you ask me, I think I'm too complicated for even I to explain. However a lot goes through my head and I just want to express that, when ever I feel, so stay tuned to my blog and there will be a whole lot more to read, watch and listen to.
